So often, I am tempted to surrender to God by asking Him to do my will while I wait.

“Lord, I can’t fix this or handle it, so I surrender it to you. Take care of it.”

Order in, burden down. Point completely missed. So. Many. Times.

Have you done that?

In the language of faith, when we surrender, we give it all to God - ALL of it. Then, we wait for Him to give it back and guide us in what we need to do in it. We give up our will and our efforts to handle things without Him, and we ask for help in following HIS will and HIS process WITH Him.

I don’t know about you, but I have always found that God’s way is much easier, more fruitful, and more filled with peace and grace and blessing than my way is. Even in the hardest situations, when I let go of my will, embrace my cross, and surrender the fight, the denial, and the fear, I always find peace. I always find hope. I always find joy. #catholicspeaker #surrender #faith

The wildflowers right now are so beautiful. I love this season! It reminds me of a passage from the Gospel of Matthew:

Learn from the way the wild flowers grow. They do not work or spin. But I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was clothed like one of them. If God so clothes the grass of the field, which grows today and is thrown into the oven tomorrow, will he not much more provide for you, O you of little faith? – Matthew 6:28-30

If you are struggling or barely holding onto your faith, look at the wild flowers and remember – God’s got you more than you know. #catholicspeaker
