Never Forget

Memorial Day, All gave some, some gave all, Today we remember, Karen May, Amayzing Graces

Today we remember. We remember those who have given their lives in military service. We remember those who embarked on a career that was guaranteed to put their life at risk.

It is easy to miss the individual as we hear about conflicts, battles, successes and setbacks. We can debate the justification of a war or a military action, but at the end of the day, these events are filled with individual people walking into the fray. In this season of Easter that continues all the way into June, we are given hope. We are an Easter people, and we know there is more to life than what we see in this world.

May God give rest to their souls and comfort to their families. May our celebrations be filled with gratitude for all those who serve to keep us safe. May we live in a way that gives meaning to the sacrifice of all those we honor today.
